SOCIETY OF MAGICIANS.

The New Zealand Society of Magicians met last evening, Mr. H. Withers presiding. A letter was received from the Melbourne Society of Magicians stating that during the Centenary celebrations the society would hold a convention. An invitation was extended to members of the New Zealand society to be present. The secretary reported that progress had been made by members of the recently-formed outer circle, and that several of the new members had improved sufficiently to be included in a show. Members who are to contribute to the programme to be held in St. Mary's Hall to-morrow evening gave a demonstration
