COMPETITION RESULTS

(I!y Telegraph.—Press Association i DUNEDIX, this day. The results are now announced of the second annual speed typewriting contest held by the Association of Commercial Science of New Zealand. In the senior championship the winner was Marjorie H. Jones, of Wellington, with a speed of 73.9 words were minute. The junior championship was won by Barbara C. Morrison, of Waitaki Girls' High School, with 54.6 words per minute. In the senior contest placings were awarded down to 30 words, and 31 passed. The leaders were: R. V. Daniels, Auckland, 65.0; D. Council, Auckland, 60.9; I\ Hodgkinson, Auckland. 59.8; L. A. Pettit, Duncdin, .)0.4; F. M. Dick, Christchureh, 08.4; K. i\l. Cooney, Wellington. 57.9; H. Lawson, Wellington, 57.7: K. Fleming, Duncdin, 54.G; B. D. Brackenridge, Christchureh, 51.4. In the junior, 25 words passed, the principal awards being: J. Hodgson. Auckland, 54.3; E. Hooper, Auckland, 54.2; .U. E. Weston, Ashburton, 52.4; T. M. Backer, Auckland, 52; J. M. Lodler, Auckland, 50.2; U. F. Goldsmith, Auckland, 50. The junior passes totalled 120.
