HAMILTON BIRTHDAY.
MR. PHILIP L£ QUESNE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Sunday. In the sunshine of his garden Mr. Philip Le Quesne to-day received a number of callers, on the occasion of his 9Sth birthday. The visitors included the Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, Bishop Cherrington and Mrs. Clierrington, the Mayor of Hamilton, Mr. J. R. Fow, and many old Hamilton residents. Mr. Le Quesne received many telegrams from all parts of the Dominion, including one from Archbishop Averill, whose birthday falls on the same day. Another was from the general manager of the Bank of New Zealand, who sent greetings to the bank's "oldest and most valued customer." A magnificent birthday cake carrying 9S candles was cut for the entertainment of visitors.
