NATIVE BIRD UCFE MENACE.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The trouble caused to native bird life by stoats, weasels and ferrets was discussed at the conference of delegates to New Zealand Acclimatisation Societies, which concluded to-day. The conference decided to request the Government to remove all protection on those animals in places where rabbits were not a menace, and also to ask the Government to permit the sale and exportation of skins. The feeling was expressed tliat these measures were necessary in the interests of native bird 1 life.
