SWISS CLAIM
| £2,000,000 for Wartime Damage To Property. HEATED FRENCH REJOINDER. (Received 12.30 p.m.) GENEVA, September 25. M. Motta (Switzerland), speaking in j the League Council, said tliat Switzerland claimed £2,000,000 in gold from Britain, France and Italy as wartime damages to the property of Swiss subjects in foreign lands. Mr. Anthony Eden moved the rejection of the claim. M. Barthou said, heatedly: "We had territory invaded that was sacred. A million and a half of our sons were killed. Our losses were incalculable yet Switzerland claims 100,000,000 francs!" The Argentine representative was appointed to examine the claim.
