WRESTLING.
G. WALKER DISQUALIFIED. DETTON THROWN OVER ROPES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. There was a dramatic ending to the professional wrestling contest between Dean Detton and George Walker in the Town Hall to-night. Detton was twice dumped out of the ring, as the result of which. Walker was disqualified. At that stage each man had secured a fall. The end cauie in the sixth round. Walker had picked up Detton for a dump, which could not be effected, as Detton hooked a foot on a rope and refused to be drawn away. Then Walker suddenly threw his man heavily out of the ring. He repeated the performance when the partiallystunned Detton climbed back. The referee promptly raised the American's hand in token of victory, but Detton, exceedingly annoyed, made a rush at his opponent. Ho fought wildly with the referee and his second, who tried to pull him away, and it was not until the custodian of the Town Hall, Mr. Dorric Leslie, and two other men intervened that the wrestler left the ring.
