Mr. C. K. Grierson left for Wellington yesterday. Mr. W. J. Fletcher goes South by the Limited to-night. Mr. O. Nicholson leaves for Wellington by the Limited to-night. Sir George Elliot leaves for Wellington by the Limited to-night. Mr. W. W. Warnock went South by the express yesterday afternoon. Mr. C. A. Whitney left by train yesterday afternoon for. .Wellington. Mr. A. M. Samuel, M.P. for Thames, left for Wellington by the Limited last night. Mr. C. W. Heather left by train yesterday afternoon for Wellington, where he will join the Wanganella, sailing tomorrow for Sydney. The Hon. John Alexander, the Hon. T. Bloodwortli, the Hon. C. J. Carrington and the Hon. J. Tievethick,' M.L.C.'s, left for Wellington by the Limited last night. Mr. Alan K. Tulloch, of Auckland, has been appointed one of three demonstrators •in osteology at the medical school of Otago University. Captain T. J. Watts, secretary and advisory superintendent of the United Fire Brigades' Association, ieft by train yesterday afternoon on a visit to southern centres on lire brigade business. Mr. D. H. S. Riddiford has joined the board of directors of the Gear Meat ! Preserving and Freezing Company, lining tho vacancy created by . the death of the late Hon. Dr. W. E. Collins, C.M.G., M.L.C. Mr. 11. Hazelhurst, of Christchurch, and Mr. A. Turner, of Reefton, sailed for London by the Rangitata from Auckland to-day. They are both under contract to play league football for the Warrington Club in England.
