FELL INTO BATH.

BOY FATALLY SCALDED. DEATH IN HOSPITAL. Scalds which caused his death were received by Michael Brook, aged 2J years, who fell into a bath of hot water at the home of his parents, Mr. and. Mrs. W. Brook, of Newmarket, about midday on Saturday. After a doctor had attended to the child he was taken to the Auckland Hospital, but died about 2.30 yesterday morning. Buckets of hot water were being carried from tho washhouse to the bathroom by an uncle of the boy, Mr. John Murray. He went out of the bathroom for the last bucketful, and when he came back he found that the child had fallen into the bath. The boy was severely scalded. Evidence of identification only was given at the inquest, which was opened before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., this I morning.
