MILITARY REUNION.
The annual reunion of the Armed Constabulary and the Permanent Forces was held, on Saturday evening, when Sir George Richardson presided over a large and representative gathering. Among those present were members whose service went back as far as 1860.
Among the toasts honoured were: — "The Old Armed Constabulary Force," proposed by the president and responded to by ex-Superintendent Hendry and Mr. A. Julian; "The Navy and New Zealand Permanent Force," proposed by Captain H. F. W. Meikle and responded to by Sergeant-Major Tustian; "The Police and Prison Department," proposed by Major C. B. Parkinson and responded to by Commissioner W. G. Wohlmann and Superintendent Dickson. During the evening musical items were given, the artists including Sergeant-Major Power, Messrs. C. Reader and Procter.
