SILVER BINGEN'S DEATH. OWNER AWARDED £102 DAMAGES. Judgment in favour of the plaintiff, Mrs. Inez Esma Sweetapple for £102 2/ and costs against Hugh Hedley, farmer, of Penrose, was given this morning by Mr. Wyvera Wilson, S.M., in the action heard last week in which it was alleged that the pacing gelding Silver Bingen, ■whilst spelling in one of defendant's paddocks, had been gored by a bull and had later to be destroyed. The plaintiff claimed- £150 damages as the value of the horse and £2 2/ veterinary surgeon's fee. Negligence which the plaintiff alleged against the defendant was denied by the defence. Mr. E. N. Moody appeared for plaintiff and Mr. Martelli for defendant.
