EXTRA RELIEF PAY.
Now that the Unemployment Board has a. surplus, might I suggest that an extra halfday per week be given to all men on relief, the pay for such to be withheld until the Christmas pay? Think of the boon both to the recipient and the shopkeeper. I venture to say that every penny of it would bo spent on the little extras . for the kiddies which otherwise they will not get. ONE OP THE ARMT.
