U.S.A. REUNION.

BIRKENHEAD GATHERING. The annual reunion of the Birkenhead Ex-Servicemen'e Association was held in the Buffalo Hall on Saturday evening. The past-president, Dr. J. W. Craven, presided. The visitors included Messrs. J. W. Kendall and A. W. M. Ohison, president and" secretary respectively of the Auckland R.S.A., and representatives of Devonport, Takapuna, Milford, Northcote, Albany, Eden-Roskill and Point Chevalier bodies. They were welcomed by the president, Mr. James Prickett. The roll-call disclosed that the gathering 00.11prised men who had served in the Navy, the Imperial Army, South African War and with the Australian and New Zealand Porces. Dr. Craven emphasised the importance of the returned men being linked up by organisations. Mr. Kendall said good progress had been made by the Auckland R.S.A., the membership of which had increased from 1400 j a year ago to 2200. I The usual toasts were honoured and the] evening's entertainment was contributed to by Messrs. L. G. Dunn, H. Metcalfe, T. M. Stewart. J. G. White, J. P. Graham, J. K. Weir, J. Beattie, R. G. Cpates and A. J. Lennon. The accompanists were played by Mr. R; Sail.
