W.E.A. SOCIAL.

A meeting of the Workers' Educational Association was held on Saturday nignt, the final social of the season, when there was a record attendance of 150. Professor H. E. Hollinrake, who presided, was warmly congratulated on his recent appointment to the chair of music at the Auckland University College. Professor W. A. Sewell gave an address on the development of the theatre and dealt with the changes from the artificial through the realistic to the modern noetic drama, and exemplified by Robert Toller's "Masses and Man." He recommended nis hearers to make an effort to see this may during its production by the association shortly. A conccrt programme followed, the contributing artists being Madame Veta Coruwell, Mrs. M. .Drcaver, Miss Craig, Miss Doreen Saunders and-Mr. Frank Cornwell.
