NEW MUSICAL OPERA.

"WALTZES FROM* VIENNA." London's big musical success, "Waltzes From Vienna," is the second piece de resistance in the repertoire of -the Williamson "Du Barry" company now at His Majesty's Theatre. It is a combination of beautiful movement and lovely music redolent of Vienna of the Strauss days. The story is slender, but romantic, and is au invitation for music and spectacle. New and bold ideas in staging are given expression and there is one ballet with fireworks in the background that is an entrancing thing. This is the ballroom scene, where gallant men partner panniered ladies in a waltz to the haunting strain of "The Blue Danube," and Strauss father and son are reconciled in public.l There is a tender romance between Strauss ! the younger and Resi, the pastrycook's 1 daughter, and there is a fairy godmother : in a benevolent -countess who helps to effect the reconciliation.
