BREWERY SHARES EASY. COLONIAL SUGARS FIRM. Business on the Auckland Stock Exchange keeps up well. At this morning's call there was free bidding for a wide range of securities. New Zealand Breweries failed to hold the full extent of the recent sharp advance, and a sale was put through at £2 7/6, after which the market stood at £2 7/3 and £2 8/. Reserve Banks also cased a little, with quotations between i'G .0/ and £0 9/9. New Zealands had buyers at £2 7/ and sellers Od higher. In Government stocks there was a slight easing in the '40- issue. A sale was made 2/0 lower, at £10S. after \vhich holders stood at £108 26, and buyers stopped at £107.15/. Insurances were steady and firm. A parcel of, was available at. £3 12/6. • ' ,', Recent firmness in Colonial Sugars was confirmed with a sale at £C 6 5/, a rise of , £1 15/ this month.
