THE GIFT OF THE NEW ZEALAND NAVY LEAGUE.—Engraved braes plate, presented by the nine New Zealand branches of the Navy* League, to be placed in a prominent position on the new destroyer H-M.s. Eclipse. The plate commemorates the British warship of the same name whose complement fought in the Maori War, 1863-65. A similar plate has also been prepared by the branches for another new destroyer, i H.M.s. Esk, named after a ship whose complement also took part in the Maori Wr.r.
