CLAIM! AND COUNTER-CLAIM. CAMBRIDGE LITIGATION". (From Our Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, Thursday. In tie Magistrate's Court to-day A. lynch and R. Quail, farmers (Mr. J. Strang), sued, William Sands, farmer, of Hautapu, for £57 0/7, as moneys spent on general improvements on Sands' farm during plaintiffs' three years' lease of the propertv. The defendant counterclaimed for £181 12/6 for alleged general neglect of the property, value of shares, and loss of pasture grazing. Mr. 1). J. Lundon appeared for defendant. Lengthy evidence was given by a number of witnesses. In giving judgment for plaintiffs for the full amount of the claim, with expenses against defendant, totalling £1G 2/, the magistrate, Mr. S. L. Pattereon, eaid he was satisfied that, generally, the property was in no worse condition when plaintiffs vent off it than when they took the lease over in 1931. In Tespect of the counter-claim, the magistrate gave judgment for defendant for I*l 17/6, as admitted by plaintiffs.
