"ALL'S WELL THAT—."

Sequel to Romantic Dash to Gretna Green. YOUNG COUPLE MARRIED. (Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 19. There was a sequel to a romantic dash to Gretna Green on March 14, 1932, when the parents pursued the eloping couple by aeroplane, motor car and express train.' Mr. Justice Eve gave away his granddaughter, Joan, when she married Thomas Hanbury, son of Mr. C. Hanbury, M.P. (Con., Dorset) at St. Margaret's, Westminster. The marriage was impossible at Gretna Green owing to the lack of the residential qualification. Mr. Hanbury meantime went big game shooting in Canada and the formal engagement was announced in 1933. He is now 20 and his bride 18. Ex-King George of Greece attended the wedding and the Duke of Connaught sent a present.
