RAISING OF EMBARGO WANTED (Received 9.30 a.m.) CANBERRA, this day. Strong representations were made to the Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, yesterday by a deputation from the New South Wales Sheepbreeders' Association for the removal of the embargo on the export of Merino sheep. Tho : speakers claimed that the embargo had bepn retained as the result of an opinion, not of evidence; also that the embargo imposed an arbitrary restric- ! tion on the trade. | The Prime Minister promised to place the representations before the Cabinet.
