LONDON GIRL REACHES FINAL. (Received 11 a.m.) PARIS, July ]0. At Le Touquet, in the third round of the French women's golf championship, Miss Gaisford, of Xcw Zealand, defeated Miss L. Esmond 5 and 3, and became one of the four British entrants to reach the last eight. Miss Pani Barton, runner-up in the British golf championship, eliminated Miss Gaisford in the fourth round, 4 and 3. Miss Barton is the only Briton left in the semi final. Miss Barton is a London girl, who is only 17 years of age, and gave Mrs. Holm, the Scottish woman champion, one of the hardest fights of her experience in the final of the recent British women's championship.
