MILK ACT PETITION.

MOUNT ALBERT'S ATTITUDE. Without supporting the Auckland Suburban Local Bodies' Association's petition for the repeal of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Act, the Mount Albert Borough Council at last night's meeting voted £1 1/ towards the association's expenses in connection with its activities. Mr. B. Brigham moved: "That this council considers that the Metropolitan Milk Act should be suitably amended rather than repealed, and therefore cannot support the petition, but it does strongly support the vigilant attitude of the Auckland Suburban Local Bodies' Association on this question, and also the attitude of the suburban representatives on the Milk Council, and that a donation of £l 1/ be made in connection with the association's Milk Act activities." The motion was carried.
