AIR RACE INSURANCE. LONDON, June 20. The "Daily Express" says the underwriters at Lloyd's refuse to insure the lives of pilots or the. aeroplanes to be engaged in the Centenary air race. They hold (lint there is no precedent for a race of this description.
Sir Charles Kingsford Smith tried to buy a life policy for between £15,000 and .€20,000, also one for his machine for £0000, but less than £500 was offered to him.
