COMBINED PARADE.
GUIDES AND SCOUTS' DAY.
SERVICE'AT TOWN HALL,
The annual combined parade of girl guides and boy scouts for Divine service will be held at'the Town Hall to-morrow afternoon. .;.."'.■
It is estimated' that aDout 1500 will take part. The arrangements arc for the scouts, if fine, to assemble in Trinces Street, and,' if wet, in Rutland Street. The guides will assemble at the top of Wakefield Street, if line, ami in Grey Avenue, outside the Town Hall, if wet. _ Cubmasters, brown owls and their sixers will have space reserved in the gallery until 2.45; they will not march in the parade. ~"" - &, Mr. J.W. Shaw,. M.A., will address the young" people, while a number of ministers will assist in the .service, in which an Impressive item will be the renewal of tho promise by the guides and scouts. Nearly 200 scouts and guide flags will be placed on the platform.. The collection will be in aid of the Mayor's unemployed relief fund, after deduction of expenses. After the service the guides will march down Queen Street and up TVcllesley Street West, where they will bo die•Tnissed.. ..:'
