FIGURES FOR JUNE. While births and marriages show a difference of one only in each instance for the present month compared with June of last year, deaths show an increase of 12. For the six months of the year, however, there is an increase both in births and marriages. The deaths number 858 for both periods. In the present month births totalled 182 against ISI in June last year, deaths 153 against 141, and marriages 171 against 172. Of the marriages during the present month 56 were solemnised by the registrar. For the six months of the present year the births were 1246 against 1173 for the corresponding period of 1933, deaths were 858 in each instance, and marriages 1124 against 1083 for the first six months of 1933. Of the marriages this year 259 were solemnised by the registrar.
