DISPUTE ENDS.

SHIPPING AT WELLINGTON. WINGATUI COMMENCES WORK. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHUKCH, this day. The outlook in connection with the wharf dispute improved at noon, when the general secretary of the New Zealand Waterside Employers' Federation stated: "The Wingatui will commence work at 1 o'clock to-day and the port will be reopened to-morrow morning." This is believed to be the outcome of a conference, and it is understood that sufficient fresh labour has been engaged to work the Wingatui other than that of tlie men who were dismissed on Friday.
