THAMES COUNCIL REPORT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. The School of Mines Council met last evening, Mr. C. S. Donovan presiding. The report to tho Mines Department on the first term of 1934 etafed that 51 students had attended classaa throughout tho term, which was an increase over tho previous term. The assay and analytical department had been actively engaged, and 509 assays had been performed during the term. In the experimental plant 114 tons of ore had been crushed for a yield of 22(ioz lOdwt of bullion, valued at £107S 3/7, at a coet of £34 3/.
Tho council considered the time opportune that the plant should be remodelled. It was continually employed, and was practically the only available plant for public crushing at Thames.
