HON. T. BLOODWORTH.
BOARD'S CONGRATULATIONS. Congratulations were given this morning at the meeting of the Auckland Transport Board to the Hon. T. Bloodworth, who is a member of the board. The chairman, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, said that although he did not always agree with Mr. Bloodworth's views, he realised that the latter was always actuated by a desire to serve the public. He had been assiduously attentive to his public duties and sincerely desirous of doing his best. The chairmanV remarks were applauded. Mr. Bloodworth said that he did not know how many friends he had in New Zealand until he received appointment to the Legislative Council.
