PATCHING IT UP. — Considerable damage was done to the deck fittings of the Admiralty tanker Nucula at the beginning of last week, when she weathered three days of towering seas off the south-east coast of Australia on her voyage from the Persian Gulf. The picture shows workmen repairing the railing of the navigating bridge, which Was smashed in by the seas. The lifeboat on the deck was forced away from the forward chock.
