A supercharged M.G. Magnette, owned, and driven by Mr. R. T. Horton, captured . the following International Class G (1100 c.c.) records at Brooklands on March 26: One hour, at 117.03 m.p.h.; 50 kilometres, 114.84 m.p.h.; 50 miles, 115.89 m.p.h.; 100 kilometres, 110.32 m.p.h.; 100 miles, 110.86 m.p.h.; 200 kilometres, 117.02 m.p.h. In the course of establishing these figures Mr. Horton also broke the Brooklands 1100 c.c. lap record at 119.72 in.p.h.
