TROPHY MATCH REPORT. OTAGO COMMENTARY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. Mr. Sharpe, manager of the Otago Soccer team, reporting to the association on the Auckland match, said although the Auckland papers lauded Otago on ite game, he was 61 opinion the better team ■won. Blandford Park was just, over the minimum length, and he thought this was a matter which should be brought before the New Zealand Council, .as trophy matches should only be played on maximum eized ground. The smallnese of the playing area contributed .to eome extent to Otagc's defeat. X '. Simpson, the selector, said Auckland's superiority lay in the forward line, which displayed fine irork and combination.
RUGBY FOOTBALL. AUCKLAND REPRESENTATIVES. ADDITION OF TWO BACKS. The Auckland Rugby representatives will practice at the Training Colleen grounds onf Thursday of this week at 7.."i0 p.m. The same players who were present last week must attend agiiln, and, in addition, the Bole selector, Mr. V. K. Meredith, hus added Murdoch, of Technical Old Boys, and Hedge, of Otahuhu, to those training. Both jilayers are young and promising five-eighths. PRIMARY SCHOOLS GAMES.
