LARWOOD'S LATEST.
ARTICLE IN NEWSPAPERS. HITS OUT OX ALL SIDES. According to the latest mail from Australia, last week's bodyline bowling messages iu the cables had reference noc to what Voce had to say on LarwoocTs behalf, but to an article by Larwood himself in a London newspaper, excerpts from which were cabled to Australia but not to ISfew Zealand. Here is an Australian | newspaper's ei>ito.tne of the Larwood article:— "Larwood, in a splenetic article in a London newspaper, hits right and left at everyone who is opposing his form! of legtheory bowling, complains of a conspiracy to keep him out of the Tests, and accuses his countrymen of 'turning yellow, like certain Australians. , He. declares that he has been let down badly by the authorities, who did not have the courage to alter the rules, that he and D. R. Jardine have been , treated the Australians arc squealers. "He admits that his excuse for not being available for.the first Test—that he was ■ not physically fit—was incorrect, and that he has definitely made up his mind not to play in any of 'the.Tests. He complains that W. M. Woodfull never retracted his statement in Adelaide that one team was not playing cricket, says that he is unrepentant i- about leg-theory—and 'winds up'by declaring that lie is loyal to ■Notts, but he must earn his living, so will drop leg-theory in the county matches."
