Hutchinson, of Bassett Road, RemuGia, has returned from thti North, where she was visiting her son. Mrs. A.E. Watkins, of Mission Bay, went to Paeroa on Saturday to attend the annual week's hunt functions there. • * * » Miss Maisie Milne, of Mount Eden, leaves on Saturday for Fiji, where her marriage will take place early next month. • * • * Miss Lara Morris, of Hawera, is spending a holiday in Auckland, and is the guest of Miss Clarice Green, of Takapuna. • • • • Captain and Mrs. Montague Polley I sailed by the Aorangi to-day en route to England. They intend returning at the end of the year. » '• • ♦ Mr. and Mrs. George Scandrett, of West Coast, South Island, are at present in Auckland, and staying with their son at 400, Dominion Road. • • « • Mrs. R. B. Williamson, of Benson Road, Remuera, left to-day for Whangarei, where she will be the guesr. of her sister. Mrs. Frank Farmer. • « • ♦ Among Aucklanders who have been staying at The Qhateau, Tongariro, during the past week are: Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Southwell, Mrs. and Miss Thomson, Miss R. Waller, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Emanuel, Mrs. Maurice Simeon, Mrs. P. W. Bollard, Mr. and Mrs. Watkins, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Spriddell, Mies McMastcr, and Miss D. Puckey. ••■ • • During the absence on holiday at Dunedin of the secretary, Mrs. J. G. Lockie, of the Northcote Welfare League, these duties are being undertaken by Mrs. G. F. Curtis, of Milton Road. As both the president, Mrs. A. J. Beck, and the secretary will be away, the July meeting of the league has been cancelled, but relief measures will be continued by the executive, in conjunction with the Rev. F. A. Thompson and Mr. A. G. Osborne. The annual meeting of the league is to be held in August.
