Notice is hereby given that it Is tho intention of the Howlck Town Board, at a Meeting, to bo held on THURSDAY, the 2nd day of August, 1934, at 7.30 p.m., at the Board's Office, Plcton Street, Howick, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Town Boards Act, 1008, the Rating Act, 1925, the Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards Act, 1920. the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and their respective amendments, and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf to make and levy th<j following Rates and Charges:— 1. A General Rate of 1 3-40 d in the £. 2. A Separate Rate of 11-40 d in the £ for Hospital and Charitable Aid. 3. A Separate Rate of l-10d in the £ for Street Lighting. Each of the foregoing , rates to be upon the Capital Value of all ratable property within the Town District i of Howick, or. in the ease of Urban Farm Lauds, upon the special ratable value fixed under the Urban Farm Land Rating Act, 1932. 4. Consumers' Water Rates and Charges upon all lands and buildings to which water is supplied, whose annual value does not exceed £12 10/, ten shillings per annum; exceeding that value, at the rare of £6 per centum per annum on the annual value. * 5. A Non-consumers' Water Rate upon each and every property to which water can be, but is not, supplied, situated within 100 yards of the Board's waterworks, one-half of the foregoing .amount. Each of the foregoing Rates and Charges to be for year commenced on the Ist day of April, 1934, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1035. and to be payable in one sum on the 20th day of July. 1934, to the Treasurer of the Board, at the Board's Office, Pieton Street. Howick. Special annual recurring rates, covering instalments on special loans will be collected for the amount reaulred.
