In the Loudon tennis championships, in the women's singles, fourth round, Mrs. Molesworth (Australia) defeated Miss Adamoff, B—6,8 —6, 6—l. In the semifinal Miss Andrus (U.S.A.) defeated Mrs. Molesworth, 3—G, G—l, G—3. In the men's singles semi-finals Shields (U.S.A.) defeated Lott (U.S.A.), G—3, G—4; Wood (U.S.A.) defeated Stoefen (U.S.A.), 3—G, 18—10, o—3.
In the men's doubles quarter-finals Malfroy and- Gandar-Dower defeated Avory and Ritchie, 10 —8, G—2; Wilde and Collins defeated Shields and Jones, G—4, G —2. In the semi-final Wilde and Collins defeated Stoefen and Lott (U.S.A.), 6-0, 11-9. jWHJ*
