OUR SPECIAL COMPETITION

OPEN TO CLUB' MEMBERS ONLY. CAMERAS FOR THE LUCKY WINNERS. De&r Boys and. Girls, — At last the suspense is over, and the announcement is made concerning the special competition open only to members of our club. In her letter to-day Wendy tells the younger girls what they have to do; my message is for the older members, both girls and boys, twelve years of age and over. The competition arranged is one that is quite new to these columns and will, I know, prove to be decidedly popular. All that is required is that the correct words be found to fill the blanks in the twelve sentences which appear elsewhere on this page. The clues to these words are supplied by the twelve pictures below. Each numbered scene represents or suggests one word. Thus the answer to No. 12 is "proverbial," and this word clearly fits No. 1 sentence, which will read: 1. The kindness extended to all visitors was" (12) proverbial. The method or setting out is also indicated above. Prizes will be divided into two sections. For the girls, section A, there will be three Hawke Eye box cameras, whilst in section B similar prizes will be awarded to boy competitors. All work must be set out as indicated above; at the top of the page must appear the name, address and age of the competitor, and the section for which the entry is made should also be clearly indicated by placing a large capital A or B at the top and centre of the page. All entries should be posted to reach this office not later than June 30. e Remember, everyone please, that these competitions are open only to members of the club whose enrolment forms are already in cur possession; they do not include those who decide 1 to join as from this issue. f \/ f Further information for this and '/J other club competitions will be found elsewhere on this page.
