ANGUS CASE.
«DOCTRINES LIVING AND DEAD.'? There is a further contribution to the "Angus" controversy in a booklet bearing the above title. Written by the Rev. John Edwards, M.A., of St. Andrew's Scots Church, Rose Bay, Sydney, and published by Angus and Robertson, it is a statement and defence of the "modernism" for which Dr. Angus contends. In a foreword Miv Edwards says that the subject matter""was prepared in anticipation of theological discussion in the New South Wales Gen-' eral Assembly, and that ho has put it into book form and published it because recent developments have been so rapid and public interest so keen. He expresses the conviction that Dr. Angus' ideas must, in the main, sooner or later prevail, and sets forth his reasons with ability and clarity. The book is an appeal popularly expressed.
