Don't feed baby whenever he cries. Don't forget to give baby plenty of cold boiled water. Orange juice can also be given with safety to young babies. Don't give tliem sweet things to such or you will, find it difficult to make them "take their ordinary food. A hard-baked crust helps them to cut their teetli, and is much better for them. Don't pay too much attention to the amount of weight the baby gains or loses every week, liut judge .Jus condition more by the straightness of his limbs, the firmness of his flesh, and the healthy colour of his skin. Some mothers are inclined to become anxious if their babies gain less one week than they expect them to. They should remember that babies that are too fat arc the ones who are inclined to get rickets later on.
