ST. JOHN AMBULANCE WORK. For the St. John Ambulance Associa-tion,-May was a much busier month than April. Transfers at the Auckland Hospital totalled 300, as against 2"»2 in April, while the number of patients increased from 4'i-l in April to 470 last month. Tlie number of out-patients totalled 396, compared with 32(1 in the previous month, .and ?-n."> patients, ten more than in the preyious monthj were attended at the ifatioii. District ..nurses travelled 110(5 milcS, attending 331 patients, while the ambulances travelled 6100 miles.
