CHINESE CHARGED.

VISIT PAID BY POLICE.

Two Chinese, Ah Charlie (50) a laundryman, and Chong On (20), a fruiterer, appeared before Mr. F. K Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court this morning on charges arising out of a visit paid to a house in. Grey Avenue last evening.

Ah Charlie was charged that he was found in possession of prepared opium that he used premises at 125, Grey Avenue for the smoking of opium, and that he had in his possession utensils for the smoking of opium, and Chong On was charged that he was found without lawful excuse on premises that were being used for the smoking of opium and that he was found in possession of prepared opium.

On the application of Mr. Dyson, who appeared for both accused, a remand until Tuesday next was granted. Bail was fixed at £25 in each case.
