TERRIFYING ORDEAL.

Woman's Part in Shocking Tragedy of the Backblocks. FARM WORKER AMOK. SYDNEY, June 20. A shocking crime is reported from the lonely hill country 56 miles from Scone. New South Wales. Gordon Campbell, aged 16. was lured away and fatally shot by Henry Wilder, aged SG, a station employee, who then attempted to assault his employer's wife, Mrs. William Gunter. The woman only escaped by pretending her back was broken. Wilder afterwards committed suicide by shooting himself after he had shot his two dogs. Mrs. Gunter had a terrifying experience. She walked two miles after the affray and then fell unconscious. She was discovered later by her husband. Wilder had been befriended by the Gunter family for two years. * The murdered youth Campbell was Mrs. Gunter's nephew.
