PROGRESS AT TATJRANGA.

TAURANGA, Wednesday. The annual meeting of the Plunkct Society was held yesterday.
The chairman, Mr. B. C. Bobbins, congratulated the officers on their work and commented on the progress of the le 1 like and Katikati sub-branches, the latter 01 which had doubled its membership. Regret was expressed at the retirement of the president, Mrs. Wilson, owing to ill-liealth. Appreciation o£ her untiring work in the society's interest was placet! on record. _ Officers were elected as follow: —1 atron, Hon. C. E. Macmillan; patroness. Mrs. Macmillan; president. Mrs. _ CramerRoberts: secretary, Miss Harris; treasurer, Mrs. Kcene; committee, Mesdamcs Patterson, Taylor, Andrews, Glacken, Thompson, Wallace, Newsham, Woods, Stewart, R. Cramer-Roberts and Miss /tlams; advisory committee, Messrs. B. C. Robbins, Bunting, Harris, Clinkard, Maltby, Wallace.
