RESULTS OF COMPETITIONS FOR JUNE 6.
The four cash prizes were awarded to:—First, Kathleen .Goddard, 02, Mount Albert Road, Mount Albert, Auckland, 5.W.2, age 14; second, Joan McLaren, 37, Prospect Terrace, Mount Eden, ago 10; third, Heather Wynyard, 48, Clarence Street, Devonport, age 17; and fourth, 11. L. Nugent, 20, Mountain Road, age 15. Certificates of merit have been awarded to: —BLUE: Eleanor Stacpoole, Joyce Goodwin, Margaret Clarke, PINK: Shirley Wade, Jewel Paterson, Beryl Dickson, Rachel Gallagher. GREEN: Joy McGarry, Beth Walker, Nancy Stanway, Valerie Howson, Betty Campbell, Dorothy Badman, YELLOW: Arthur Page, Wilfred Goodwin, Kathleen Fuller, M. Nash, Violet Hill, R. Irvine, Alma Wynn, Eileen Somers, Dorothy Wiles, Vera Fell, Mary Stericker, B. Gibbons, Rita Sliegadeen. . COMPETITION RULES. 1. Competitions In these pages, unless spebtslly marked, are open to all yaung people under 18 years of age. 2. Work should be done In Ink, on one side of the paper only. Leave a ■targin of one inch on the left-hand side. The little ones may use Ink penoll. 3. When more than one competition Is conducted competitors should at* a separate sheet of paper for each competition, and at the top right* hand corner of every page write the number of the competition. 4. All entries should bear the competitor's full name, age and addraaa In the top right-hand corner of each sheet of paper used. 8. Cut out and paste the signature of " Peter Pan " on to the top lefthand corner of our envelope; which should be labelled " COMPETITIONS " In the bottom left-hand corner and addressed o/o " Star " Office, Auckland. Envelopes not so marked will not be considered. 6. Unless specially stated to the contrary all oompetltlona olose on tlia * Wednesday following publication. Late entries cannot be received. 7. Eaoh competitor Is In honour bound to send in original work. If assistance is given a signed statement to that efTect must be made. Otherwise no certificate of originality Is required. 8. It Is understood that Peter Pan's decision It final, and ha nnniM Mtar into any correspondence on the matter.
