SCALDED HAND.
AWARD OF DAMAGES.

WELLINGTON, Wednesday.
Damages amounting to were awarded by Mr. Justice Blair in tlie Supreme Court in favour of Eileen Marie Leniston, of Wellington, in respect of injuries suffered by her in April, 1933, in the course of her employment at Woolworths (N.Z.), Limited, the defendant company in the action. Plaintiff was filling a teapot from an urn of boiling water when, owing to a tap being faulty, she scalded her left hand. Dermatitis followed and plaintiff had been unable to work practically ever since. The medical evidence was j that her disability would last for some [ months.
