RALPH LYNN'S FARCE.
MAJESTIC'S "UP TO THE NECK." The typical style of farse made famous by Ralph Lynn and his eye-glass is the chief attraction of "Up To the Neck," which is listed, as to-morrow's change of programme at the Majestic Theatre, where Sydney Howard's amusing picture "It's a Cop" is screening. "Up To the Neck" has as its plot the exploits of a young man named N. B. Good, whose ambition is to become a successful actor. He goes to a dramatic college, and is as unsuccessful in his efforts as his name suggests. He graduates to local town hall amateur dramatics and ruins everything he touches. He meets an actress (Winifred Shotter), and puts on a show with her in the lead. The leading man fails at the last minute, and Ralph Lynn steps into the breach, playing the part in true Lynn style. With a story from the brilliant Ben. Travel's' pen, "Up To the Neck" also brings back pretty Winifred Shotter to this type of film work. Mary Brough is the inevitable landlady. Eric Warwick is played by Francis Lister, who ie well competent to the part with all the necessary unscrupulousness, while at the same time conveying the impression of the "arrived" actor.
