Close to Auckland the flooding was fairly serious in the-Kumeu district, while at Muriwai Beach the rapid rising of a creek ilooded a relief workers' camp. The camp had to be abaindonci and other shelter had to be found for the womeu and children for the night, At noon to-day the Automobile Association reported that the road conditions in North Auckland area were much improved.
