OFFICES RANSACKED.

CITY PREMISES ENTERED. The two offices of the Auto Machine Manufacturing Company, Ltd., at 18, Nelson Street, were thoroughly ransacked last niglit, but, as far as is known, nothing was stolen. Entrance was gained to . the premises by bending up a sheet of corrugated iron at the side of the factory. Once inside, the intruders apparently went straight to the offices at the front, lowered the Venetian blinds, and switched on the electric light. Apparently in a search for money, the intruders thoroughly ransacked both offices, scattering piles of papers on to the floor. No attempt was made to open the safe in the manager's office, although a heavy tool taken from another part of the premises was found this morning lying beside the safe.
