GERMAN DEVALUATION LIKELY
LONDON, June 7
The ''Daily Herald" financial correspondent - says the German Government is preparing for the early devaluation of the reichsmark in an attempt to swell the country's export trade by increasing German competition against Britain.
Heavy withdrawals of gold are taking place from Germany and the cover for the note issue now is at a new low record. The loss of gold alone makes devaluation inevitable, but big industrial interests behind the Nazi party also are pressing for currency depreciation.
So far the industrialists' demand has been refused as the Nazis wanted to complete their release from debt payments before devaluation. Otherwise devaluation, by increasing exports, should increase Germany's ability to transfer debt payment?

THE NEW GERMAN JUSTICE,
LONDON, June 3. Ordering the State to pay the prisoner's costs, the Court acquitted a self-confessed murderer, says the Berlin correspondent of "The Times." Prisoner was a Leipzig man, George Schirmer, who admitted killing a Bulgarian, Dimitroff, because he had discovered his illicit relations with his wife, these having occurred 20 years ago, before the marriage. Schirmer, pleading patriotic motives, said that he lured Dimitroff from Bulgaria by the fictitious offer of an important" post. He beat hi in "because lie besmirched a German woman." Then hej ! shot H and flung the body into a river. I
