DAYLIGHT SAVING.
ABOLITION WANTED. DELEGATES UNANIMOUS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. Unanimous opposition to the daylightsaving law was expressed at the conference of the South Island Dairy Association, when the following remit was introduced: "That strong representations be made in the proper quarters to have the daylight-saving legislation abolished, on the grounds that it is not suitable legislation for a primary pro during country. The mover said the conditions under which women and children worked should be considered. Another speaker described the existing legislation as "absolutely childish." Another said that in Southland a fatal accident had occurred to a man who, being used to crossing a railway line at a certain hour, and having forgotten to alter his watch 011. the first morning of the new ; time, had been caught by a train. j The remit was adqpted unanimously I
