ELLERSLIE TOWN BOARD.

MR. SIMSON RE-ELECTED. The by-election held yesterday to fill a -vacancy on the Ellerslie Town Board resulted in Mr. H. Lan Simson being re-elected by a substantial majority. Mr. Simson had forfeited his seat because of a technical infringement of the Town Board Act. Details of the voting are:— Mr. H. I. Simson 306 Mr. M. Kelly 163 Majority for Mr. Simson 203 The number of ratepayers who recorded their votes was the greatest in the board's history. The by-election was the third since the board was elected in September, 1932. Mr. H. <T. White, the chairman, said that the majority of the board looked upon the result as an affirmation of confidence in it.
