BOXING TO-NIGHT.
| NAVY-AUCKLAND CONTESTS. While sportsmen the whole world over arc discussing the cricket test matches, sportsmen in Auckland are interested in tlie boxing test matches between the New Zealand Squadron of the Royal Navy and Auckland at the Town Hall to-night. In the professional contest, Stoker Mickey Holland, of H.M.s. JJiomede, and Johnny McKay, will contest the honours, while in the supporting bouts four Navy fighters will meet Auckland amateurs, the only bout in which the Navy boys are not engaged being the special contest of six rounds between the New Zealand flyweight champion, Billy McKay, and the former champion Frank Bruno. The professional bout should produce thrills from start to finish, both men having reputations as hard fighters and crowd-pleasers, while in the supporting i contests the Navy lighters, who are welll known as hard battlers, should provide I plenty of excitement.
